I’ve been in sales since I was a small child, selling flowers to passersby to supplement my pocket money. Even then, I also enjoyed it as a means of meeting people.
I love to work with and for clients and to collaborate with other departments or organizations.
After University, where I studied in Neuchâtel and St.Gallen, I found myself working in the finance industry, almost accidentally. There, I spent more than 15 years in sales, as part of the trading room of international banks such as UBS AG, ABN AMRO or Credit Suisse in Zurich and London. In 2007, I was in charge of the development of a product platform for the Swiss branch of Deutsche Bank, driving my team’s revenue into the 7 digits. Other responsibilities included product development, customer management, marketing and process optimization.
Entrepreneurship is in my blood.
During my Master in Finance in London at the London Business School, I attended lectures on entrepreneurship in addition to many finance subjects. And there began the desire for independence.
More and more I have used the power of LinkedIn for my work in B2B sales.
So, as Sales Director after the birth of my sons – today 7 and 9 years old – I got to know other industries. Among other things, a sales network for partner companies has been set up for a consulting firm. Or, in an outplacement venture, I got to advise executives on how to use LinkedIn for strategic networking and job search.
Thanks to social media and internet, my contacts were never cold.
LinkedIn, as the largest business platform, is in my eyes a huge marketplace in the global, connected world. Here, people exchange ideas, get references, seek tips and recommendations. I support my clients in focusing on building their stand and not being distracted by the hectic pace of others.
As a dedicated networker, I am communicative, strong in acquisitions and solution-oriented.
I am interested in people and I want to support my clients to position themselves and to reach their target groups thereby increasing their sales. My clients characterize me as being strong, inspiring and empathetic. They appreciate my direct, purposeful and humane way. I live near Zurich with my witty B&B (Belgium & British) husband and two lively boys. We spend most of our free time in nature, traveling or socializing with friends.
